why donβt you go stay a month in one of those all ice hotels in Iceland somewhere with no access to Internet, social media, news, or anything else until I can get caught up
Read this issue last night till I fell asleep, and still have much of it to go especially some of the quite timely and pertinent links. Going to dig into the one about not buying βmoreβ before I do! π€£ππ±
It's like watching all the Minnesota Vikings football games because your uncle can't talk about anything else, so you have to go along... Even though you live in Florence, Italy...
Can be a leading indicator for other market factors if youβre in the market for similar pieces.
Itβs like finding out Trevor from the country club is divorcing his Mrs, and you recall fancying her being worth a squirt. Nice to know, donβt have to act upon it.
Exactly what I was going to say. Very much a leading indicator to other markets. I just passed this on to one of our investment advisors as a matter of fact.
Beside the fact that I find I actually do enjoy reading the auction results. Which kind of surprised me. I say yes to more!
That Oysterquartz listing you referenced has a Chronometer Certified dial, which came later. I have one of the early ones I bought from another collector (it doesn't have the "Superlative Chronomemter" text at 6:00) and haven't been able to get close to 100% certainty that these dials are genuinely rarer and I lucked out to get one, or if it's a possible Frankenwatch.
Also, all this coverage of auctions makes me think you're the next Tony Traina ;)

Youβre not that lucky, so probably frankenwatch.
Also, not sure if that was meant to be a compliment or an insult, so ... thanks?
