Do you sometimes feel like you spend all your time putting out proverbial fires in your life? At the end of the day do you feel completely sapped and drained of energy, and yet can’t point to anything of real significance which you accomplished that day?
It’s pretty sad, actually, but almost all of the watches I’ve been looking at lately fall into the bottom left quadrant. Very few, if any, in the top right. What’s wrong with me?!?!?😭😭
Lovely idea! I have a list with all my watches and whaat is worn on a daily basis, then i average them out to understand if any correcting (aka selling) is needed. I also have a list of how i see my collection in 3,5 and 10 years from now, with all possible moves and once i "lock in" a target, i open a new sheet just for that piece along, with possible pieces to be sold and how much per month i need to save in order to get that piece at a certain time. I have been doing this since 2016, but certainly i lacked the overall view, so i will most definitely do that still before the end of the year. Cheers bro!
Thanks for sharing the pic on IG. I believe this post could do with an update.
Building on the desire vs urgency ranking, there's also a separate lens to consider and that's utility. Here, it is perhaps wrapped up in the 'desire' category, but that is almost too high-level.
In reality, people benefit from more granular ranking of aspects like aesthetics, prestige, provenance, rarity and so on. Now, given each of these factors is going to vary from person to person, wouldn't it be nice to have a tool which does this?
