My husband’s heirloom Rolex was stolen!! Yup, he was one of those difficult calls they had to make and one which was extremely hard to receive!

I would love to see the video footage on the news. Unless they turned off all the camera, too.

Wow, I'm absolutely shocked this would happen to a store that knowingly hires cocaine addicts. I wonder who could have possibly provided the codes to the "maintenance workers" to bypass the security systems. Hmmm... color me shocked!

Are you talking about our financial system, our leading technology companies, our best law firms,..., I think you basically cover all prestigious jobs. Most firms that hire 22-year-olds out of the Ivy League get a fair number of intense, industrious employees who indulge in conspicuous consumption, including cognac, scotch and some cocaine. Of all the moral failings I have seen, that is the least worrisome. The scary ones are those who feel resentment and/or jealously. They will sell the farm for free so long as they can see those they dislike squirm and suffer.

With cocaine addicts, alcoholics,..., if they start to lose it, they can be packed off to rehab and required to submit weekly drops to drug testing. It works, and you get to keep a high-performer who fell down. They are often grateful for the help as well. The resentful cannot be accommodated. Whatever rot sets in their souls, it cannot be removed. That is why our political problems are so dangerous. They create the kind of broken people that make cocaine addicts look like pillars of moral virtue.
