Re: Preferences... this one really snapped my head around because I do it almost daily with my partner; the majority of the time because of the options offered I really DON’T have a preference but also possibly because she asks for my preference or opinion on almost everything that could possibly involve a choice and I just don’t want to get into a discussion about it or feel it needs my input. Now I’m going to be watching this more closely to see if it might negatively impact our communication and relationship or perhaps it’s by now just the embedded automatic behavior of “an old married couple” which we are most certainly not! 🤔😐.....interesting

Definitely the very same for me! I’m mostly genuinely not hung up on my choices but sometimes it’s misconstrued I guess.

Let's get real. In my life the 'non-preference' is ALWAYS expressed by my pertner. Well, UNTIL I make a choice (any choice, it seems) and she has the opportunity to vociferously VETO the choice made.

No help in deciding --just rejection of the first (and often second and third) choice.

Reading this made me anxious!

I have to go make tea now...)sigh(

Maybe there’s wisdom in recognising that as a way to steer choice. If true, you surely must always suggest something you don’t want, knowing it will be rejected!

😂

The strategy of 'getting the rejection out of the way' would only work if the issue was truly rejection of first options. It's a rejection of all options until we hit upon the one cuisine/meal she finally feels a taste for...but we must play the guessing game in conversation, as she seems unable to inquire internally of her preferred food and can only reach a conclusion upon the external, verbal suggestion,

She also is apparently the only person on the planet who knows the 'right' way to load a dishwasher as well...

Gawd I love her.

❤️😂

Well, I believe Breitling released a subscription model to test drive watches and then get some savings if you ended up buying them. Don't remember the details but it was in the last couple years

Reliable recurring revenue is definitely preferable for all companies so I have to imagine the watch industry will definitely move that direction. I would think major high end brands could set up AP-like lounges and charge a yearly membership fee. I also imagine a maintenance fee when the customer gets preferred placement at the front of the line would be something many would enjoy instead of waiting months for service.
