Another “nail biter” hot off the press ... now I can feverishly try to work back through the 2 1/2 editions I haven’t had time for 🫨....... AFTER I chase down the various links referenced here 🏃💨💨
Seriously, another eclectic mix of thought provoking, enlightening, and just plain fun stuff to dive into and roll around in!
Great read! Thanks for the Trevor Noah pod suggestion too - heard it on your rec, found him very thoughtful.
I’ve been tracking Subdial Clubhouse closely. Interesting to read your take. C24’s scale creates great network effects - every marginal watch improves *everyone’s* experience - but I wonder if Subdial’s focus on curated “premium” watches and authentication yields a higher-value network over time. There’s a lot of questionable stuff on C24!
Thanks for reading Alejandro! I feel like Trevor will become more interesting as he gets older. He has an interesting perspective on life.
I take your point on the value of curation; not sure what the right answer is - but I use the BaT analogy as an example... because BaT didn’t “kill” auto trader - it’s still niche, but it’s natural selection in action.

Free markets win. Usually 😂
Yeah, there’s certainly enough of an auto market to allow BaT to thrive. I wonder if the same is true of watches!
Your guess is as good as mine 😄
